Jane qualified with a BSc in Podiatry from Queen Margaret University in 2007 and gained experience working in established clinics in Edinburgh and West Lothian. She had always wanted to own and run her own clinic where she could develop her brand of effective, patient focussed care. Jane’s main clinical interests are in diabetic foot care, children’s feet and routine podiatry.
As a long-time resident of Longniddry, Jane opened her first clinic, Longniddry Foot Clinic, at her home in 2007. As her caseload grew she was privileged to expand her business by moving to her new premises at 19 Main Street in 2015. Jane Muir Podiatry and Healthcare now serves Longniddry and the wider East Lothian area. Jane and her team are a key part of local healthcare and were recently instrumental in securing a defibulator now located in the village centre
Away from the clinic, Jane is an enthusiastic novice golfer and devoted Granma to her five grandchildren.

The aim of this East Lothian clinic is to provide a professional, caring and friendly service for people who care about their feet.
We offer a fully comprehensive foot health service for conditions affecting the lower limb, encouraging a healthy active life with feet that function normally and without discomfort.
Podiatry is not only a treatment but is preventative care, maintaining general foot health and preventing future mobility and joint problems.
All of our podiatrists are self-employed, are members of the Royal College of Podiatry and are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. They are fully trained and insured, having completed degree level training prior to qualification. They are required to undergo a programme of continued professional development and carry out a wide variety of extra training every year to ensure they continue to provide the latest techniques for their patients.
