Our Podiatrists
Andrew Gilmour

Andrew is a passionate and experienced Podiatrist, qualifiying in 2016, with a broad dynamic career that spans across private practice, the NHS, the Ministry of Defence and International healthcare settings. His clinical interests lie in the prevention, diagnosis and management of lower limb conditions, with a particular focus on diabetic foot care, vascular health and musculoskeletal conditions.
Over the years, he has developed a strong foundation in both routine and complex podiatric care, working with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams. His time with the Ministry of Defence provided unique insights into occupational and high performance foot health, while his NHS experience has grounded him in evidence based, patient centred care.
His International experience includes working overseas in diabetes focused health care environments, where he was involved in the management of high risk foot complications and community based initiatives. This global perspective has enriched his approach to care, particularly in culturally diverse and resource limited settings.
In addition to his clinical work, he has contributed to academic development at Queen Margaret University as Lecturer, where he has supported undergraduate teaching, clinical skills development and mentoring of future podiatrists. This role has allowed him to stay at the forefront of emerging research and best practices in podiatric medicine.
He is committed to continuous professional development and strives to integrate the latest research into practice. Whether in the clinic, classroom, or community, his goal is to promote mobility, prevent complications and improve quality of life for every patient.
